"Merdeka", a word that represent independence of Malaysia. But for me, 'Merdeka' is a good opportunity to spent time with friends and family.
27 August, I celebrate Merdeka with all KMK's students in "dataran pelajar". Although it was raining that night. But the cold temperature did not cool down our spirit to celebrate the memory day of Malaysia. The alley was crowded by students in green and orange. Everyone around were chit-chatting, waiting for the ceremony to begins. When the ceremony started, some of the student, despite the rain, go to the centre of 'dataran pelajar' in order to get a better view of the performances by our students. Even me, who initially bored, also feel alive with the high spirits around. There was singing, dancing and many others interesting performances prepared by KMK's students few weeks ago. I must admit that it feels good to gather around with friends after a long day of lessons. At last, the night ends beautifully with colourful fire-works.

'Merdeka' day also providing a good opportunity for me to back home. I sent the day celebrating 'Merdeka' with my aunt and her family. My cousin was joining a Merdeka's day colouring competition. The location is at Youth Park-station 3. So, that means we have to climb up there! It is an tiring but interesting experience. The conmpetition consumed 1 and half an hour. After waiting for about 30 mintues, the results finally came out, and my cousin sucessfully won consolation prize. But, my 5 years old cousin somehow believe that he get second prize. Anyway, in order not to hurt his feeling, nobody recorect him.

That is what merdeka means to me...
